Report an Asian hornet or a nest

No account needed, about one minute. Stay more than 10 metres from a nest; for multiple stings, call 15 (or 112).

Where is the nest?

How high, roughly?

    Frequently asked questions

Who should I call about an Asian hornet nest?

Not the fire brigade, unless there is immediate danger on a public road. Report the nest here or to your town hall: the scheme in your department passes it on to an approved company and tells you whether financial help is available.

    What happens after my report?

Someone identifies the species, often from your photos. A local volunteer may call you or come to confirm. A company then contacts you to arrange the work.

Do I have to pay for the nest to be destroyed?

The property owner pays, around €70 to €250 depending on height and access. Many towns and groups of towns refund all or part of it: the confirmation screen will tell you.
